On August 4, 1941, in position 53.53N, 18.10W (west of Ireland) Tunisia was bombed by an FW200 Kondor aircraft. She sank in position 53.53N, 18.10W. There were only five survivors from a complement of forty-three. Thirty-one crew members are commemorated on Tower Hill, Panel 112.
