The PQ series began on 29 September, 1941, from Hvalfjord, Iceland to Archangel, Russia, and ran until  21 September, 1942, with convoy PQ.18.  Subsequent Iceland to Archangel convoys bore a JW prefix.

No convoys were cancelled.
